Sara Andrés

A sports lover from a young age, Sara Andrés practised karate, tennis, one-wall handball and horse-riding as a child.

In 2011, when she was 25, her feet were amputated and her life changed for ever. Now, thanks to the prosthetics which she uses to walk, she has dedicated herself to sport as a profession, turning it into a tool for self-improvement, satisfaction and learning to go beyond her own limits.

She is a sprinter specialising in the 100m sprint, long jump and relay events. Spanish champion and with a national record in 100m, 200m, 400m, and long jump, she competed in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Outside the world of sport, she is a primary school teacher, educational psychologist, lecturer and writer.
